Michelle was states away from Angelo, or so she thought, running the Philadelphia marathon. Her hard work and training paid off as her sneakers rhythmically hit the cement. She was in the final stretch of the race, doing what she loved and enjoying every second of it. She looked at the flanking crowds, reading the encouraging signs and messages. This was one of her favorite things to do during a race. With the finish line in sight, she picked up the pace and crossed the finish line reading one last sign that caught her eye “Will You Marry Me?” Thinking that was such a sweet idea, she looked up and saw that it was her Angelo holding the sign. And then it registered…
Angelo along with his mom and Michelle’s mom and sister drove early in the morning from New York to surprise Michelle that day. Angelo wanted to be at the finish line, but when he got there security wouldn’t let him even get remotely close – even when he told them he was going to propose! So Angelo took things into his own hands. While a security person was waiting to ask her manager if he could at least go into the VIP section, Angelo walked right past them…. He had gotten this far, how was he NOT going to be at the finish line?!?! And so, with news reporters capturing the moment, Michelle said yes! It was the perfect ending to the race and the beginning of the next chapter in their love story.
We began their shoot at Westlake High School were they both attended school, although they didn’t begin dating until years later. We then headed over to the amazing Kensico Dam… Here are a few of my favs from their new york engagement session! I can’t wait for their wedding later this year!
Anyone who knows Michelle knows of her love for Coca-Cola. Although Angelo is a self-proclaimed light soda drinker, he embraces her love for the soft drink. ; ) I loved that they brought a six pack of old fashion Coke bottles and enjoyed the sweet bubbly for which Michelle adores…

Michelle you are absolutely stunning… seriously.

The dam was so beautiful and provided the perfect backdrop… The thousands of textured stones methodically placed really just leaves you in awe of the structure…

I couldn’t help but smile as Michelle chimed in as Angelo told how he proposed… She looked up from the sign and “there was my Angelo” she said with a pinch of his cheeks.
