I have to admit, last year in February when we boarded the plane for Vegas I was a trail mix of emotions (the kind with M&M’s obviously – my fav!). I was super excited while slightly nervous. We were on our way to the WPPI (Wedding & Portrait Photographers International) conference. But boy did it end up being quite the experience! I listened and learned from some of the industry’s leaders and met some incredible artists and new friends. I left with a renewed appreciation for the industry and a wealth of valuable information. I was a sponge that literally could not soak in anything further and was ready to hit the road running to apply all I had learned.
So after having such a fabulous experience last year, Chris and I are headed back to WPPI this year! One of the things I am most pumped about is being involved with Showit United again! I am so honored to be part of it along side some of the most incredible photographers that I have so much respect for. Showit United is bigger and better this year, with more speakers and a plethora of interesting topics. I will be participating in the “First Year? Start Here” panel on Wednesday 2/22 at 1:00pm. The photographers participating in this panel will be sharing things they wish they knew in their first year in business and answer questions anyone may have. I know this panel along with the others will fill up quickly so keep an eye out for more information and the registration starting this week!
