A saw a cloud of dust in the distance and knew it must be them. Jon drove his father’s restored 1940s Jeep to the McLaughlin Winery & Vineyards in Sandy Hook CT for their vintage engagement shoot and clearly I couldn’t have been more excited!! As I was snapping photos of the love birds strolling down the rows of grape vines and driving the jeep down the dirt road, I noticed the whispers between shots. The small talk amongst themselves that would cause Jess to give a sudden big smile towards Jon or Jon to suddenly start laughing. This was love. This was love in its very essence manifesting itself in the small moments. In the few words and quick glances, the future Mr & Mrs’ love was apparent and tangible.
We ended the shoot with some wine and watched a vintage baseball team (there is an actual vintage baseball league! I know – who knew!) wrap up there game and shake hands for a game well played. When clients are friends it’s the best. I can’t wait to photograph Jessica & Jon’s wedding this fall!
